Get Ready for the 2023 Legislative Session

The 2023 Washington State Legislative Session begins on Monday, Jan. 9. Get involved with grassroots advocacy by registering for Dental Action Day and signing up for action alerts from WSDA.

The 2023 Washington State Legislative Session begins on Monday, Jan. 9, and we need your support! By uniting the voice of our over 4,400 member dentists, WSDA maintains a powerful presence in Olympia — advancing the Association’s legislative priorities while tracking issues and bills that could affect the dental profession.

Here’s how you can get involved with grassroots advocacy this legislative session.

Attend Dental Action Day: Register by Jan. 13

This year, our state Legislature will once again face many issues that have the potential to fundamentally impact the dental profession.

Join member dentists and dental students from across the state on Friday, Jan. 27 in Olympia to advocate for your profession as you meet with local legislators to discuss WSDA’s legislative priorities. Your participation at Dental Action Day is not only crucial to your profession, but will also help ensure that the Legislature acts in the best interest of your patients and their oral health.

In addition, WSDA will hold a reception for all WSDA members the evening before Dental Action Day. This is yet another great chance to meet with your legislators face-to-face!

Sign Up for Action Alerts from WSDA

Sign up for WSDA’s text message-based action alert system. Signing up will enable you to receive updates on your phone at the moment action is most necessary on critical dental issues. By clicking a link in a text message, you will be able to email legislators quickly and easily about dental issues.

To sign up, text “WSDA” to 52886.

During signup, you will be asked for your name, the zip code where you are registered to vote, and your email address. After answering those questions, you will be entered into the system and will receive a text message every time we need you to respond to an action alert.
