Public Meeting: Proposed Fee Changes for Dentists, Dental Assistants, EFDAs & Dental Anesthesia Assistants
Please review the following notice from the DOH for more information and register for the public meeting here.
December 6th Public Meeting Notice
Dear Health Care Professional,
We are reaching out to share important information about potential fee changes for the dentist, dental assistant, expanded function dental auxiliary and dental anesthesia assistant professions.
Fees for your profession may increase.
State law RCW 43.70.250 requires that the cost of regulating each profession be paid for by that profession’s credential fees. Based on your profession’s financial forecast, the Department of Health (department) is considering a fee decrease to bring the profession’s fund balance into the recommended range.
The attached Cost Driver document includes proposed fee changes and financial information about your profession, including budget trends, and the financial forecast.
The department is holding public meetings to discuss these potential changes.
Dentist, dental assistant, expanded function dental auxiliary and dental anesthesia assistant fee changes will be presented on December 6, 2022 at 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST. During the meeting, department staff will explain how fees are set and be available for questions from health care professionals and other members of the public.
