Dentists should evaluate their network provider agreements each year, according to the ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs. ADA News reported that dentists who are considering joining a network may want to negotiate contract terms before signing an agreement, and those who already are network providers may want to renegotiate terms and provisions. "Understanding the details of what is often included in contracts made between dentists and third-party payers is essential because these contracts are drafted by payers," said Kevin Dens, D.D.S., chair of the ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs.
