2021 Loan Repayment Assistance with Washington Health Corps

Jan 8, 2021
2021 provider applications close March 1, 2021, apply now if interested!

Washington Health Corps programs provide loan repayment or conditional scholarship opportunities of up to $75,000 to providers currently working at, or with contracts to begin working at, critical shortage eligible sites. Provider applications are being accepted now through March 1.

If your site is listed on the Preapproved Site List, it is already eligible. If you would like to request approval for a site not listed on the preapproved list, you may do so here.

Since 1990, the programs have funded over 1,000 professionals serving 28 Washington counties. Last year alone, approximately 100 health professionals worked in underserved areas of Washington. This is a great opportunity to help underserved populations and receive repayment assistance.

The minimum service obligation length is three years for full-time employment, and both service length and loan repayment amount depend on the specific program type.

Three program types fall under the Washington Health Corps Professional Loan Repayment and Scholarship opportunities: the State Health Program, the Behavioral Health Program and the Federal Health Program.
