For interpreter services for Medicaid clients to be covered by the HCA, you must have a valid NPI & be registered through HCA.

Provider enrollment for continued Medicaid services
In order for interpreter services for Medicaid clients to be covered by the Health Care Authority (HCA), you must have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) and be registered through HCA. Your NPI is subject to revalidation every five (5) years and must be completed to continue to have your interpreter services and any other Medicaid-eligible service covered by HCA.

providerenrollment@hca.wa.gov or 1-800-562-3022 extension 16137 (staffed hours are 7:30 a.m.-noon and 1-4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday).
