We are updating the Billers and providers section of our website to include a new prior authorization (PA) page. We heard from providers that this was information missing on our website.

Additionally, we will clean up the Provider billing guides and fee schedules page by removing outdated items from the listing.

When will these changes occur?

Changes will be made Monday, April 30, after close of business.

What will change?

To accommodate the new page, we need to make some changes to the way things are structured.


Billers and providers box on the home page

Currently, the box on the home page titled "Billers and providers" lists:

• Programs & services
• Apple Health (Medicaid) providers

On May 1, 2018, you will see:

• Prior authorization, claims & billing
• ProviderOne resources
• Programs & services
• Apple Health (Medicaid) providers

Billers and providers page

Currently, the box on the Billers and providers page titled "Claims and billing" lists:

• Getting started
• Provider billing resources (guides/fee schedules)
• HIPAA Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
• Indian health programs
• Audit and program integrity

On May 1, 2018, the revised "Prior authorization, claims, and billing" section will list:

• Getting started
• Prior authorization
• Claims and billing (guides/fee schedules)
• HIPAA Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
• Indian health programs

Web addresses/URLs will change: update bookmarks

The web addresses/URLs for these pages will also change. 

The current URLs begin:

https://www.hca.wa.gov/billers-providers/claims-and-billing 

After May 1, they will begin:

https://www.dev.hca.wa.gov/billers-providers/prior-authorization-claims-and-billing 

Important! Don't forget to update your bookmarks/favorites.
