WDC Business Meeting - October 11

The Washington Dental Commission (WDC) — formerly known as the Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC) — will hold its next business meeting in hybrid format on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
Please note: The Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC) has changed its name to the Washington Dental Commission (WDC).

The upcoming WDC meeting will feature updates on the new Healthcare Enforcement and Licensing System (HELMS), as well as reports from various sub-committees including Continuing Competency, Educational Outreach, EFDA, and Dental Therapy.
Several rulemaking updates will be discussed, including proposed changes to dental assistant registration requirements, exclusions for opioid prescribing, continuing education for sedation, and access to dental care for children.
WDC will also hear updates from attendees of various regional and national organization meetings and WDC representatives of the Aesthetics Interagency Taskforce.
Finally, WDC plans to review program staffing updates, and provide clarification of the on-site inspection rules and requirements.
