Apply to Serve as a DQAC Member by May 2
The Department of Health, Health Systems Quality Assurance (HSQA), is accepting applications to fill vacancies on the Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC). This recruitment will be used to fill two dentist member vacancies. One dentist member must reside and engage in the active practice of dentistry east of the summit of the Cascade Mountain range, and one dentist member may engage in the active practice of dentistry anywhere in Washington State.
DQAC is made up of 12 dentists, two expanded function dental auxiliaries and three public members, and operates under a mandate to protect the public's health and safety and to promote the welfare of the state by regulating the competency and quality of professional healthcare providers under its jurisdiction.
In addition to developing rules, policies, and procedures that promote the delivery of quality dental care, DQAC members also serve on disciplinary hearing panels and standing committees. By serving on DQAC, members have the chance to make a tangible, positive impact on dentistry and the public as a whole.
