The next Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, which aims to provide a way to dispose of prescription drugs in a safe and responsible way, will be held on Saturday, April 30.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day encourages individuals to make communities safer and healthier by returning unneeded medications, helping to prevent potential harm. Temporary collection sites are set up across local communities for free and anonymous disposal of prescription drugs. In October 2021, National Take Back Day resulted in 372 tons of prescriptions collected from almost 5,000 sites nationwide.
