Provider Relief Fund Now Open for Phase 3
Provider Relief Fund Now Open for Phase 3, Dentists Encouraged to Apply
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has started Phase 3 of the Provider Relief Fund (PRF). Applications are open through Nov. 6, 2020.
Phase 3 will impact:
- Newly Eligible: Dentists who began practicing Jan. 1 – March 30, 2020.
- Add-on Payment: All dentists who previously received, rejected or accepted payment from the PRF can submit more information to become eligible for an additional payment.
- Corrections: All dentists who previously received, rejected or accepted a PRF payment and did not receive approximately 2% of annual revenues from patient care will now receive this amount, plus their Phase 3 allocation.
Providers are encouraged to submit their applications on the Provider Relief Fund Application and Attestation Portal as soon as possible. Providers should apply if they have lost revenues and/or increased expenses attributable to COVID-19 that have not been reimbursed by other sources. The ADA updated the Frequently Asked Questions about the Phase 3 eligibility and required documentation.

To help dental professionals make an informed decision, the ADA has published “Should I be Vaccinated for COVID-19?” – a resource that “outlines the available data and timeframe on ongoing clinical trials.”

DOH Extends Expiration Date for Dental Hygiene Initial Limited License
