The
Seattle-King County Dental Society (SKCDS) has named Randy Ogata, DDS as Executive Director.
“Randy brings a lifelong passion for dentistry to the position of Executive Director. He has a deep desire to make SKCDS a national leader in both providing services to members and broadcasting a positive image of dentists and the work they do in the community,” said Dr. Lisa Egbert, President of SKCDS.
Dr. Ogata stated, “My greatest desire is to listen carefully to what my colleagues want and need; and to use that feedback to develop SKCDS into an indispensable resource that helps dentists succeed. Partnering with our energized volunteer base, SKCDS will develop and expand innovative programs that help address the access and workforce issues — while branding SKCDS and its member dentists as the recognized leaders to the public. Finally, SKCDS I need your help… JFK said it best ‘Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.’ Together, we will make a difference to the public and our member dentists.”
As he becomes Executive Director at SKCDS on January 6, Randy is winding down his successful 25-year orthodontic practice. He brings a career’s worth of experience in serving on and leading numerous ADA, WSDA and SKCDS committees and task forces. Bringing SKCDS a balance of experience in policy development, best practices in dentistry, and dental education, Dr. Ogata also approaches the Executive Director position with a humble, practical style and a great sense of humor.
Randy holds a DDS from the University of Nebraska, College of Dentistry, and a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry.
