Dr. Linda Edgar Installed as American Dental Association Trustee

Congratulations to WSDA Board member Dr. Linda Edgar, who was installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association during ADA 2018 in Honolulu.
CHICAGO — Linda Johansen Edgar, D.D.S., a dentist practicing in Federal Way, Washington, was recently installed as a trustee of the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Edgar’s installation took place in Honolulu at ADA 2018 – America’s Dental Meeting.
Dr. Edgar will serve on the ADA Board of Trustees as the trustee from the Eleventh District, which encompasses Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. The ADA Board of Trustees formulates and reviews policies and programs and makes recommendations to the members of the ADA’s governing body, the House of Delegates. As a member of the ADA Board of Trustees, Dr. Edgar will play a major role in the organization’s objective to be America’s leading advocate for oral health.
Dr. Edgar has been a member of the ADA since 1992 and a member of the House of Delegates since 2005. She most recently served on the ADA Council on Dental Practice. Dr. Edgar is also involved with numerous other dental organizations, including the Washington State Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, Washington Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of General Dentistry, of which she was president in 2013-2014. She served the Seattle King County Dental Society as president from 2010-2011 and currently sits on the Washington State Dental Association Board of Directors.
Dr. Edgar earned her dental degree from the University of Washington in 1992. Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Edgar was a teacher and she earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Washington in 1975. She practices dentistry in Federal Way, Washington, with her husband, Dr. Bryan Edgar. They have a son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
