John Lovick is in his second stint as a legislator. A state trooper for 31 years, he was elected to the House of Representatives in 1998 and served for 9 years, including 5 as Speaker Pro Tem. He served as Snohomish County Executive from 2013-2015. In June 2016, Lovick was appointed to the House of Representatives to fill the vacated seat of Rep. Hans Dunshee and won re-election to the position in November 2016.
